This past summer Seth had the pleasure of being part of a wonderful production of Anything Goes directed by Jayme McDaniel. Starring Andrea McArdle as Reno Sweeney and Sally Struthers as Evangeline Harcourt, the production began at The Gateway Playhouse and then moved to The Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine.
Seth most recently returned to playing Jellicle leader Old Deuteronomy in director Donna Drake’s unique production of Cats in upstate New York.
Seth performed at the Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, Long Island in the Randy Skinner directed critically acclaimed production of 42nd Street. Seth played Texas Sugar Daddy Abner Dillon.
Seth finished 2013 performing as Snoring Man/Ezekiel Foster in the Randy Skinner directed/choreographed production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at the Westchester Broadway Theatre.
Seth played the wise old leader Old Deuteronomy on tour across North America in the Broadway touring production of Cats. Opening in Toronto in 2007 and closing 10 months later in Jacksonville, Seth got to ride the Jellicle Tire over 200 times.
Seth was an original cast member of Cameron Mackintosh’s critically acclaimed Berlin premier of Les Miserables . The show opened on September 26th 2003 at the historic, Theater des Westens, one of Germany’s most famous theaters. In addition to playing the revolutionary student Courfeyrac Seth got to play Jean Valjean (his dream role) on a regular basis.
While in Les Miserables, Seth was asked to play Annas in the German mini tour of Jesus Christ Superstar in concert, which he did on his off day from Les Miz.
Before Les Miserables, Seth was a member of the German premier cast of Titanic- the musical. Seth played the millionaire, George Widener, and can be heard on the original German cast recording.
In 1999, Seth was thrilled and honored to be cast in the world premier of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame directed by James Lapine. During the run Seth was chosen by Mr. Lapine to understudy the title character giving Seth the opportunity to don the Hunch on numerous occasions. Seth stayed with Hunchback for two years, and had the unique experience of being one of the “Menken Tenors” on the world premier cast recording of Disney’s Der Glockner von Notre Dame.
Back in the States, Seth has played, among others, Charlie Dalrymple, Simon Zeolots, Motel the tailor and Bob Cratchitt.
In addition to performing Seth has worked as an English teacher in Manhattan and China. He enjoys travel and Asian History……
